Prepping and priming goes a long way when it comes to achieving Jen’s (seemingly) effortless glow and this is a lady that is never caught without a healthy looking tan. If you don’t have time or prefer not to soak up the rays, get your hands on Vita Liberata Tinted Wash off Gel in Medium, which provides all the colour of a fake tan without the long term commitment. Apply with a tanning mitt and layer up for an even sun kissed glow without the unpleasant fake tan smell or the risk of tell-tale tanning blunders!
Jennifer Aniston is 45 and looking fabulous; use a primer such as Sephora Pore & Fine Line Filler to turn back the clock on those crows feet faster than you can say ‘I’ll be there for you’ and give yourself an even base for your foundation. We love Bare Minerals Bareskin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation as it’s made without harmful parabens and it brightens the skin whilst providing adjustable coverage and a natural finish.
To bronze and beautify the skin, try Dior Skin Nude Matte in Honey or Toffee. This will give you a beautiful complexion boosting, raw tan effect with a satin finish. Dust the powder over your cheeks, chin and temples to enhance the natural contours of your face. Be sure to use a large bronzing brush to buff on the powder and extend down to your décolletage area to achieve an even, fresh from the beach look. Next use a highlighting peachy pink blusher such as YSL’s Rosy Blush and apply on the apples of the cheek and lightly up the cheekbones for and irresistible, iridescent smile.
With the skin nailed, the rest of Jen’s look is a breeze…
Jennifer Aniston makes her bright blue eyes pop with a slick of bronze and metallic neutrals. We Love how the new Bobbi Brown Smokey Nudes Eye Palette achieves this look. Blend the light cream base all over the lids and then layer over with a warm neutral shade of the palette, such as Naked. Dust this colour over the lid and eye socket, blending lightly up to the inner brow but avoiding the brow bone. For the bronze shade, use the smokey brown metallic shade to line the top and bottom lashes, extending outwards to achieve a gentle cat eye look. Take a dark brown eyeliner, such as Laura Mercier Crème Eyeliner in Espresso and, using a fine eyeliner brush, lightly trace along the waterline all the way to the inner corners, blending into the smokey line you have already created. Use a light, metallic eye shadow, such as the Nude Beach metallic of the Smokey Nudes palette to highlight your brow bone and on the inner corners of the eyes to give a sculpted, wide eyed effect . Finally, finish with plenty of black mascara, such as MaxFactor Excess Volume Extreme Impact Mascara. This double ended doozy offers a layer of volume, followed by a dark black laquer, which will be sure to give you the blackest black lashes instead of a greyish hue that some double ended mascaras with white base coats can sometimes give.
For perfectly manicured brows, use Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Brow Lift Duo in Soft Brown. The tip of this nifty little pencil is two times finer than a regular wooden pencil, making it perfect for mimicking natural brow hair and avoiding an artificial, block brow appearance. The opposite end of the pencil offers a universally flattering highlighter to apply under the arch to give an instant lift that will last all day.
Line the lips with a warm, neutral shade such as Laura Mercier Lip Pencil in Chestnut and then extend the colour inwards to the rest of the lip using light, fluffy strokes. For Jen’s glazed glossy pout, try lick of Nars Soleil D’Orient lipgloss. Sponge on gradually and blend into the liner to give the illusion of fuller lips, with a natural, long lasting finish that doesn’t appear over-glossed.
To achieve Jen’s beachy waves, let your hair dry naturally and while it is still a little damp, try tousling with a salt spray such as Label M Sea Salt Spray for a relaxed, surfer chick style look.
