Trend # 1 The Cat Eye

STEP 1 Prep your eye with primer and a layer of base eyeshadow in a neutral shade.

STEP 2 Apply a beige or brown eyeshadow in your crease to contour your eye.

STEP 3 Draw short dashes of eyeliner across your upper lash line, starting from the inner corner and going all the way to the outer corner, until you have a straight line. The thicker the line, the more dramatic the cat eye.

STEP 4 To get the right angle for your cat-eye flick, follow the angle of your lower lid past the outer corner of your eye, towards the end of your eyebrow. Again, the longer this line is, the more dramatic your cat eye will be.

STEP 5 Connect the outer tip of your wing back to the line along your top lid, creating a triangle. Fill the triangle in with eyeliner.

STEP 6 Apply black kohl eyeliner to the upper and lower waterlines.

STEP 7 For maximum drama, add false eyelashes.

Trend # 2 Blush

Best blushes

Round face

ROUND FACE Sweep it along your cheekbones and extend the colour out to your temples to slim your face, like Reese Witherspoon.

Hear shape

HEARTSHAPED FACE Apply blush below the apples of your cheeks and blend out to your hairline to balance your face shape, like Jennifer Lawrence.

Long face

LONG FACE Blend blush beneath your apples, but not out to your temples to soften the shape of your face, like Liv Tyler.

Trend # 3 Lip Berry

Fair skin

STEP 1 For perfectly defined lips, use a lip brush and lipstick. Line lips first, then fill them in with the berry shade.

Medium Olive skin tones

STEP 2 For a more pigmented look and a matte finish, top the lipstick with a matching eyeshadow.

Darker tones

STEP 3 Take a lipstick that’s one shade lighter and add it to the centre of the lips for a fuller looking pout. Finally, add a natural pink gloss to blend it all together.
