Pure Fitness

There’s a new class for mums from the ladies at Pure Fitness, the Dubai-based women-only fitness experts focusing on women and mums. Pure Pilates offers mums the chance to attend a pilates class with their little ones in tow, so there’s no need to worry about babysitters. Classes are intimate, with numbers restricted to eight women, so you’ll get individual attention while you focus on flattening abs, lengthening and strengthening muscles and burning fat. Instructors also work on core strength, body positioning and breathing techniques.
Cost: Dh540 for a six-week course.

Mountain Buggy Fitness

Leading stroller brand Mountain Buggy has teamed up with pre- and postnatal fitness trainer Olivia Johnson to offer mums the chance to get back into exercise with their new arrivals in tow. Focusing on post-birth core and pelvic-floor strengthening, as well as cardio exercises and bum and leg toning, classes – which make use of your buggy for resistance – are an hour long. Choose from Wednesdays at 8.30am at Palm Park or Thursdays at 8.45am at Al Furjan Park.
Cost: Dh300 for six sessions, Dh500 for 12 sessions with a free Mountain Buggy Pram Hang Bag full of goodies.

Urban Energy Fitness

Women’s fitness specialist Urban Energy has added two new exciting classes to its range of pre- and postnatal workouts. While babies are welcome at most Urban Energy sessions, these classes are especially for mums with more mobile tots aged six months and upwards (although you’re more than welcome to go along on your own). Based at Favourite Things, Marina Mall, choose from a core and HIIT – high-intensity interval training – workout on Sundays at 8.30am or do a fun kick-boxing class on Wednesdays at 8.30am. Places are limited so prior booking is essential.
Cost: Dh60 per session or Dh500 for a block of 10 sessions.

Snap supervision

Keen to keep an eye on your little ones while you’re at work? New service SnapSights provides remote supervision of your home and childcare provider via a series of continuously monitored cameras.
