Upmarket chic

What Friday brunch, Zuma, DIFC

When Fridays, 12pm-4pm

How much Dh395-Dh595, children aged 4-12 Dh225, under-threes eat free

The low-down This is quality Japanese at its best. Relaunched this spring after almost a year’s hiatus, it showcases all of Zuma’s signature dishes, alongside live stations and Japanese street food. There’s as much sushi, yakitori and okonomiyaki as you can eat, plus one à la carte main course and a breathtaking dessert platter. Although Dubai’s trendy crowd is out in force, we were surprised by how family-friendly this brunch is, including a kids’ room with a dedicated staff member.

Best bit We’ll always be won over by the miso black cod main course.
