Whether you want to take your mum somewhere special or fancy a treat yourself, here’s a round-up of ways to celebrate

Fill your tummies


Start your day with a scrumptious breakfast at Eggspectation. There’s a special three-course Mother’s Day set menu from March 22-26, including a variety of tasty treats, and if you mention you’re there for the Mother’s Day Special, mum gets her meal on the house.

Urban Kitchen

Take the family for a special lunch on March 21 and any mums in the party eat free. There’ll be an international buffet full of tasty lunch options, priced at Dh139 including soft beverages, with children aged seven to 12 paying half price and no charge for diners under the age of six.

Bice Mare

Chef Francesco Guarracino has created a special five-course set menu for all the mums in town. Featuring delights such as crab and lobster salad, a light Chilean sea bass and a decadent chocolate dessert, the menu is on offer from March 21-31 at Dh450 per person including a glass of sparkles.

Fairmont The Palm

Have an arty afternoon tea at Fairmont The Palm, where reproductions of seven of the most famous Van Gogh works will be on display at Mashrabiya Lounge. Featuring a lavender-infused duck and lemon macaroons, the Mediterranean-inspired tea takes place at 2pm every Saturday. Dh125 per person, plus Dh100 to be seated next to the Sunflowers.
