This month we’re all about al fresco!

Winter’s here and all our favourite things have moved outside...

We’ll start with a refreshing breakfast out on the terrace at the relaunched Lakeview restaurant at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club (04 295 6000), where we’ll enjoy à la carte breakfast favourites surrounded by a gentle creek breeze and a stunning view.

Then, if we’re feeling energetic, we’ll be heading up to Ras Al Khaimah for the Challenging Adventure Mountain Festival being held on November 6-7, where we’ll get to try out all manner of outdoor pursuits, enjoy a family barbecue and even pitch a tent to stay the night. www.challengingadventure.com

Or, for a rather less active pastime, we’ll be trying Tuesday’s Cinema Night at family favourite Reform Social and Grill,
The Lakes. There’ll be a different movie on each week out in
The Orchard and we’ll be able to pick from a selection of F&B packages starting at a bargain Dh70.

Our monthly treat to ourselves will be an al fresco treatment at the Willow Stream Spa, Fairmont The Palm; there’s a dedicated outdoor Spa Shack where we can choose from a variety of treatments including reflexology and a range of massages starting from just Dh199 for 30 minutes. www.fairmont.com/palm

Of course, we’ll still need our retail therapy fix so we’ll be popping along to one of the Ripe markets, back outside for the winter season. Zabeel Park’s first market is November 6, while Al Barsha Pond Park market is on November 28. www.ripeme.com

And finally, to chill out after a busy month, we’ll be heading up to the rooftop of Emirates Towers (04 319 8660) for an al fresco yoga session under the stars with Talise Fitness and Urban Yoga Dubai. Bliss!
