How would you sum up the style of your home in three words or less?

Modern, opulent and comfortable.

What’s your favourite room in your house?

The living room, because I spend quality time with my family and friends in this room.

What are your favourite home items?

The three most precious items that I love are our family photographs and frames, art – which I have bought from across the world, but mainly the works of local artists – and my bed.

Do you prefer paint or wallpaper?

I prefer wallpaper to create a statement, used in combination with neutral wall paint.

Do you prefer tiles or carpet?

I love carpets – especially Persian rugs, which make a beautiful statement in the room, bringing an Arabian warmth to my contemporary style. With a young family, I find that carpets can be difficult to keep clean, but they add character.

What colour is used most in your home?

The colours in each room reflect the mood of that room – so our dining and living areas have a mix of white, beige, tan and earthy brown, while our lounge area follows a grey and monochromatic scheme, with a few statement pieces.

When you are travelling for work, what do you miss most about your home?

I miss my family more than anything – so I try to get on a video chat with them on my phone. I tend to take along a small blanket, because I often find hotel rooms very cold.

How has having kids affected the style and feel of your home?

I have always been very practical in my personal style and that is reflected in my home too. Since the kids arrived, we are more conscious of the quality of the furniture and the accessories we use in our space. Everything has to be safe and child-friendly.

We also try to maintain a sense of comfort and keep things fuss-free.

You have curated a collection for Home Centre. How did you find the process and what did you look for?

Home Centre plans its collection months in advance and I had a chance to get a sneak peek at its newest collection. I got to hand-pick my favourite pieces from the different lines.

The collection has something for every taste, but my favourites reflect a mix of colourful Avant-Pop products with bright colours and the Classic Revival range, which combines classic Arab design influences with modern lines and aesthetics.
