Easter weekend at Madinat Jumeirah

There’s a whole host of events happening at Madinat Jumeirah over the weekend. Jumeirah Mina A’Salam is hosting a family friendly brunch in Hanaaya and Tortuga on 25 March as well as lunch in Hanaaya on 26 March, with special activities including a bunny who will arrive by Abra.

Lindt Master Swiss Chocolatier, Chef Matthew Muller, will also be on hand to create a show stopping chocolate centrepiece and, on 26 March, will be hosting mini demonstrations for children to make straw bunny baskets entirely from chocolate. Yum!

Don’t miss the egg hunt on the beach. Taking place on 26 and 27, more than 150 eggs will be hidden away in the sand. Kids who find them will be able to exchange them for chocolate and be in with the chance of winning a 1kg Lindt Golden Bunny!

Lastly, on Easter Sunday itself, Khaymat Al Bahar is hosting a lunch and fun beach day with activities for children including a bouncy castle, bungee runner, human space ball and dunk tank.

Steigenberger’s Easter Bunny Brunch

Let the kids loose on a traditional Easter egg hunt throughout this brand new hotel before tucking into a delicious brunch featuring everything from sushi and pasta to steak, washed down with seasonal drinks such as fresh milky Cacolac. You can also try a selection of Braai barbeque dishes served on the outdoor terrace. There’ll be fun entertainment, including boiled egg painting and life-sized bunnies on hand to teach you how to do the bunny hop. Don’t leave without visiting the chocolate village, complete with chocolate bunny homes and edible decorations.

Record breaking egg hunt, Atlantis The Palm, Dubai

Atlantis The Palm, Dubai is hosting a record breaking egg hunt - with a bit of a twist. A whopping 50,000 foam eggs will be released into the rapids at Aquaventure waterpark, which can be hunted and swapped in exchange for real sweets. Those aged six to 12 can enjoy exclusive early morning access to the waterpark to take part in the hunt and those who find the ‘special eggs’ can win fab prizes. Tots up to five years old can enjoy a special egg hunt in the Splashers Lagoons and Splashers Playground.

Festive arts and crafts and Build Your Own Sundae at Fortnum & Mason Dubai

Inspire their creativity while you relax in a refined environment thanks to free Easter themed arts and crafts for kids at Fortnum & Mason Dubai. Plus, those with a sweet tooth can also take part in the Build Your Own Sundae activity at The Parlour, where you can pick from an array of ice creams and sorbets sprinkled with six different toppings - all served in a special egg box. Springfest Easter Fun Day, Reform Social & Grill

Kick back and relax at this favourite family hotspot in Dubai and tuck into a traditional roast dinner while little ones hunt for eggs, have their faces painted and hop around on the bouncy castle.

Bunny Affair at Caboodle Pamper & Play

Little ones can enjoy face painting and try their hand at themed crafts including decorating a festive basket, which they can use to stash yummy treats found on the Caboodle treasure hunt. Both activities are available throughout the day.

Chocolate egg making at Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi

Create the chocolate egg of your dreams under the guidance of Chef Chinthaka Wekadapola. Simply melt, mold and decorate to your heart’s content. We dare you to see how long you can leave it before taking a bite.

When: Classes run until 24 March, from 10.30am to noon.

Where: The activity is taking place in the private dining room, located between Angar restaurant and Amici restaurant, on the ground floor of the main building. Pass by The Lounge afterwards, where there will be special cakes and Easter hampers on display for a special price.

Easter in the desert at Arabian Nights Village

Enjoy an egg hunt with local flavour amid the towering dunes of Al Khatim. Afterwards, guests can decorate their own Easter eggs and take a ride on a camel. Those aged seven and over can enjoy the thrill of dune bashing in a 4x4 with a highly experienced driver and get up close and personal with the village’s own herd of Arabian oryx and sand gazelles. There’s also a bouncy castle, soft play area and the desert oasis swimming pool to make the most of.

Grown-ups can have a go at sand surfing, with a sit-on board for rookie surfers, as well as traditional entertainment. A gourmet dinner buffet will be served.
