This month we’re... pretty in pink

Pink is the colour of the season, so say the trend gurus, and it just happens to be Breast Cancer Awareness month to boot. We’re all over it!

First off we’ll be filling our diaries; there’s a host of events on this month in support of breast cancer awareness. We’ll be signing up for the Ignite Pink Is Punk swim/run event on October 7 and making sure we’re decked out in the brightest pink fancy dress we can find. Then we’ll be getting our competition on and heading to Anantara The Palm for the Pink Ladies Games, being held on October 21.

After all that strenuous activity, we’ll be booking ourselves in for some culinary indulgence at the Pink Afternoon Tea at Al Bayt, The Palace Downtown, where every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday in October from 2pm-6pm the regular afternoon tea will take on a pink theme.

For a spot of retail therapy we’ll be popping into an Elemis spa to pick up one of its limited-edition pink collections (Dh462), specially designed to support breast cancer awareness. Then we’ll be hitting up Reiss for this covetable pleated skirt (Dh750) and New Look for these super-cute bangles (Dh35).

Of course, no month would be complete without a spot of pampering, so we’ll be popping into our local branch of SensAsia Spa for a luxurious Be Aware Bali Chic massage (Dh499) – 10 per cent of the profits are being donated to Friends of Cancer Patients, so we’ll be taking along as many girlfriends as we can!
