Week eight, day six
Just back from the last of my life coaching sessions. Carolyn, my life coach had asked me to imagine a day in my life which I could call perfect. A day where everything falls into place, I am doing what I want to do and feel great, a kind of day which I can live over and over again with no regrets. As I started doing this exercise, I saw a crystal clear vision of myself, my new house, my work, the fragrance of the flowers in my garden, the aroma of my morning coffee in my study, the feeling of love, safety and harmony permeating the air. It was a beautiful experience. On Carolyn’s suggestion, I translated these images into real pictures and stuck them on my Vision Board.
Once I got the images ready, it was very easy to set my short, medium and long term goals by simply following my desires. I was then made to travel into my future time line and firmly establish these goals there as if I had already achieved them. This is what true goal setting is all about, because it provides a map to our unconscious mind to whatever we want to achieve next! Carolyn calls them SMART goals which are specifically about me, measurable, achievable, realistic and time bound.
I now see that my true passion lies in energy- healing and I want to transform it into a career. The thought itself expands my heart, aligns me to my life’s purpose, puts a spring in my step and makes me want to shout it from the roof top. Seems I have finally found what I was looking for. Even if somebody had lighted up a billboard in neon lights, I would have missed seeing my true passion prior to the life challenge because I was so full of limiting beliefs and self-doubt. No more, no more.
